YEAR 6 - KENYA CLASS 

Bridges 4 Schools Workshop - Tuesday 28th November

Year 5 and 6 participated in a workshop today, Bridges 4 Schools, in which they learned about civil engineering. They then separated into groups. The first group put on their protective gear and got to work constructing a cable bridge that spanned the hall - which had to also be strong enough for them and their teacher to walk over. The other group participated in a competition in class to see who could make the strongest bridge out of K'Nex. One group managed to make a K'Nex bridge that could withstand 8.5 kilograms pulling down on the centre! All children had a great time and learned a lot about real life appliances of maths and physics.
